Cold Steel Blue (Terry Parsons)

Take a walk with me a little,
Share a glass of wine;
Set and talk to me a little,
About old times.

I don't get around much,
Like I'm so used to;
I set and stare out my window,
On a cold steel blue.

The old-folks home kinda gets you down,
Same old day-by-day;
I hear that old fright train winding down,
I'll soon be on my way.

I wait in line at the station,
Where we're all just passing through;
I'll soon be riding that eastbound train,
On a cold steel blue.

We walked the beaches of Normandy,
I fell on the enemy line;
I watched my friends die with dignity,
And nearly lost my life.

When you think about me,
And wonder where I'm to;
I'll be riding east bound,
On a cold steel blue.
On a cold steel blue.
