We look and see the boats out in the harbour,
The fishing season's almost to an end;
The men are busy stacking up their crab pots,
They're home again with family and friends.
It is the time our people call mid-season,
The lull between the next activity;
The boats are ready, idle in the harbour,
Until again the men go out to sea.
Those Harbour Days that
bring us so much pleasure,
And memories that will stay with us always;
It is the time that brings us all together,
As we enjoy the thrill of Harbour Days.
We celebrate and thank God for his blessing,
We reminisce and talk of bygone days;
We greet our friends and welcome every stranger,
From places near and far across the bay.
We thank you all for taking time to visit,
For joining in our fun and laughter, too;
May you enjoy the time you spent among us,
It is our fervent wish to all of you.
Those Harbour Days that
bring us so much pleasure,
And memories that will stay with us always;
It is the time that brings us all together,
As we enjoy the thrill of Harbour Days.
As we enjoy the thrill of Harbour Days.
