Girl At The End Of The Bar (Harve Bishop) video

Did you happen to notice as you walked in tonight,
The girl at the end of the bar;
The one with the half-empty bottle of beer,
And her coat hangin' down on the floor?

She only gets up when she plays that old jukebox,
She plays every sad song she finds;
Smokin' and drinkin', she just sits there thinkin',
And don't leave until closing time.

The boys all ask her to get up and dance,
But she don't even answer their call;
They go back to their tables and leave her alone,
While she drinks beer and stares at the wall.

We don't know where she came from
or how she got here,
Her name she ain't told us so far;
To the boys she's just another
lost soul in this place,
The girl at the end of the bar.

Sometimes it seems like she's lookin' at me,
With a smile and a wink in her eye;
I believe that in time the girl will be mine,
The girl at the end of the bar.

I watch her each night as I sit here alone,
With this hurtin' down deep in my heart;
Before this night's over I'll tell her I love her,
The girl at the end of the bar.

I love the girl at the end of the bar.
