I'm a native Grand Mananer,
was raised up with my flock,
I rise each morn and thank my God
my home is on this rock;
My island out in Fundy Bay
is heaven sent to me,
And if it were possible,
I would never leave.

Beauty and peace can both be found
along your cliffs and shore,
When people come to visit once,
they know they'll come for more;
They walk along your many shores,
their fingers sift your sand,
They feel the spray of ocean kiss the land.

Grand Manan, my own Grand Manan,
My heart does love you so;
Grand Manan, my own Grand Manan,
I wish I could take you with me where'er I go.

I love my precious island
out in the Fundy Bay,
I hope when my short life is done
my friends for me will pray;
And lay me down in Grand Manan
for my most restful sleep,
I know my Lord will watch over my soul to keep.

Grand Manan, my dear Grand Manan,
My heart aches for you so;
Grand Manan, my dear Grand Manan,
I wish I could always watch your tidal flow.

Grand Manan, my own Grand Manan,
My heart does love you so;
Grand Manan, my own Grand Manan,
I wish I could take you with me where'er I go.
I wish I could take you with me where'er I go.
