Biographical Notes

Connemara was a four-piece traditional Celtic group based in St John's from 1992 to 1997. Entertaining audiences all across Canada, Ireland, Norway, and Newfoundland, they performed a variety of Irish, Newfoundland, Canadian, and Scottish traditional and original music. Band members were Tommy Nemec, Glenn Hiscock, Jason Whelan, and Frank Maher. Their discography includes two albums: The River, 1992, and Near Distant Shores, 1995.
