Biographical Notes |
The Wolfe Tones, Brian and Derek Warfield, Tommy Byrne, and Noel Nagle, were an Irish rebel music band that incorporated elements of Irish traditional music in their songs. They took their name from the Irish rebel and patriot Theobald Wolfe Tone, one of the leaders of the Irish Rebellion of 1798. The Wolfe Tones played together as a traveling band from 1964 until 1989 when their name was contractually lost for future recording. However, they continued to tour, but as a 3-piece band recording as Brian Warfield, Tommy Byrne and Noel Nagle, formerly of The Wolfe Tones. Celebrating more than 50 years together, their tours include shows in Newfoundland and Labrador. |
